- Peskov called the closure of the Russian House in Moldova a detriment to the population of the republic
The closure of the Russian House in Moldova indicates that the country's authorities, continuing their course of antagonism, are making decisions to the detriment of the population of their country. This was announced on November 5 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"It is a pity that the Moldovan leadership continues to antagonize our country. A line of denial of everything related to our country, to the detriment of the interests of a significant if not more part of the population of the country. This is very bad," the Russian president's press secretary said at a briefing.
As Peskov noted, the Russian side can only express regret in this regard.
On November 5, the Moldovan government unanimously approved a draft law to denounce the agreement on the functioning of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC, Russian House), presented by Minister of Culture Christian Jardan. According to the Moldovan authorities, the current agreement allegedly ensures "the risk of Russia promoting distorted narratives."
