The West is honing its aggressive moves against opponents from the East in exercises. This was stated on November 5 by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow.

"The militarization of Europe is actively underway: military spending is growing, and aggressive actions against the enemy from the East are increasingly being practiced in exercises," Shoigu said.

He noted that Western countries continue to support the Kiev regime, despite its terrorist activities. In addition, he stressed that with their assistance, the presidential and parliamentary elections in Moldova were rigged.

"The Georgian authorities have declared undisguised interference in internal affairs and provocations, including attempts at a coup d'etat," Shoigu said.

Earlier, on October 25, the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, announced the need to increase pressure on Russia. She stressed that coordinated anti-Russian sanctions allegedly play a "key role" in putting pressure on Moscow. British analyst Alan Watson said that the sanctions imposed against Russia are an attempt by the West to cover up the lack of a strategy. According to him, Russia has been able to adapt to them for the entire period of sanctions, so its foreign exchange reserves are growing and currently amount to 700 billion rubles, and its trade balance continues to be positive.

Later, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at the Dialogue on Fakes 3.0 forum that the West is waging hybrid aggression against all those who advocate the truth. She added that in this way the countries of the European Union (EU) are trying to "keep the floating hegemony."
