The architectural concept of the Klenovy Boulevard station on the Biryulevskaya metro line has been approved, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the MAX. He noted that the exterior of the station will echo the nearby Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve.

According to Sobyanin, the name of the station will be played by laying out maple leaves made of aluminum on the track walls. The same ornament will appear on the floor in the lobbies. Arches will become the predominant element in the design. "We will arrange them in such a way as to create end—to-end perspectives through the entire ensemble," said the mayor of the capital. He added that due to this solution, the composition will get the effect of integrity and openness.

The Biryulevskaya metro line will include 10 stations. The right tunnel is currently being built between the Island of Dreams and Maple Boulevard. The builders are also erecting fencing structures at the site of the future station, carrying out excavation work and fixing the foundation pit, the mayor of the capital noted.

As a result of the construction of the Biryulevskaya line, the metro will come to two large districts — Biryulyovo Vostochnoye and Biryulyovo Zapadnoye, the mayor noted earlier. In addition, the new line will improve transport services in the Danilovsky, Nagatinsky Zaton, Nagatino-Sadovniki, Pechatniki, Moskvorechye-Saburovo and Tsaritsyno districts. The construction of the first section of the line from ZIL station to Kuryanovo is expected to be completed in 2028.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
