In the state of Chhattisgarh in the central part of India, a passenger train and a freight train collided, killing 11 people in the accident. This was reported on November 5 by NDTV.

"11 people died. 20 other passengers were injured. There was a baby among the injured," the TV channel said in a statement.

The published footage shows that some passenger cars were crushed.

Rescue services and members of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are working at the scene. Doctors had to provide medical assistance to the wounded inside the train, as the wreckage did not allow the evacuation of the injured.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident could be an alarm failure or a driver's error.

On October 13, about 100 people were injured in a collision in eastern Slovakia. The preliminary cause of the accident was the inattention of the driver of one of the trains. Later, the Russian Embassy in Slovakia reported that there were no Russians among the victims. Slovak Portal teraz.sk With reference to the head of the Slovak Ministry of Health, Kamil Shashko, on the same day reported that seven people out of 91 who were injured in a train collision in Slovakia were in serious condition, 14 were moderately injured.
