Kaprizov's goal and assist brought Minnesota victory over Nashville in an NHL match
Kirill Kaprizov, a Russian striker for the Minnesota Wild hockey club, scored his eighth goal of the season in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season home game against the Nashville Predators. The meeting took place on November 5th.
The match ended with a 3-2 victory for Minnesota after overtime.
Kaprizov opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the first period, and defender Ziv Buyum scored another goal for the winning team. Forwards Matthew Wood and Steven Stamkos scored goals for the opponents. In overtime, Minnesota forward Marcus Johansson scored from Kaprizov's pass.
Russian Vladimir Tarasenko also participated in the scoring attack, the assist was his seventh of the season, Sport-Express notes.
Earlier, on October 27, Kaprizov reached 400 career points in the regular NHL championships in a home match with San Jose. It was noted that in 10 matches of the current season, the 28-year-old hockey player scored five goals and provided nine assists.
