Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told the details of the clearing of forest plantations from the Armed Forces of Ukraine

On November 5, military personnel of the Russian group of forces Zapad shared with Izvestia information about the course of defensive and offensive operations in the area of forest belts in the Krasnolimansk direction, where fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to hide.

Grenades and anti-tank mines are often used to drive the enemy out of hiding. Russian units report the distraction of the Ukrainian forces during the encirclement by the Russian Armed Forces, noting that the enemy makes mistakes in a panic, unmasking themselves and their equipment. These actions are constantly monitored.

The role of the 25th Reconnaissance Battalion, which successfully identifies enemy roads, supply routes, fortifications and command posts, is particularly noted. Ukrainian forces are trying to break out of the encirclement mainly at night, in small groups or singly, but these attempts, according to the Russian military, are unsuccessful. Thermal imagers allow deep reconnaissance fighters to track any enemy movements.

"The enemy prefers not to engage our fighters, but to leave, to avoid direct contact, direct combat. He is trying to work more with such technical means as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), mortar crews and artillery crews," Emil Timashev, deputy of the deep reconnaissance company with the call sign Schers, told Izvestia correspondent.

Russian military personnel pay high priority to combat training, moral and strong-willed qualities and coherence of actions of personnel, which is achieved by intensive training at training grounds.

"The main focus is primarily on combat training and the moral and volitional qualities of the personnel. <...> A certain distance is taken at which the fighter must move on the battlefield, this distance is taken from the account of the scattering of fragments, because the task is to reach the firing line as quickly and as stealthily as possible," said the commander of the assault company with the call sign Khariton.

Also, due to the large number of enemy UAVs, Russian fighters are taught to shoot down every drone with bullets. Great importance is attached to this training.

In addition, special attention is paid to the training of intelligence groups. The training of scouts to perform tasks is brought to automatism, including hours-long assaults on conditional enemy positions. Intelligence operates in the vanguard, moving forward and leading the infantry and the main forces of the Zapad group. It is noted that the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansk area is showing signs of collapse.

On October 26, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces described performing combat missions near Seversk and Kupyansk. It was clarified that the military personnel fully control the sky over Kupyansk, and the Russian artillery is increasing fire near Seversk. The UAV operator with the call sign Grek, whose units are cutting off the scattered Ukrainian garrison blocked in the center of Kupyansk from supplies, said that his unit had discovered a shelter where armored vehicles of Ukrainian militants of the M-113 model were located. This target, he said, was successfully destroyed.
