Death toll from typhoon in Philippines rises to 66
At least 66 people have died as a result of Typhoon Kalmaegi in the Philippines. This was reported on November 5 by the ABS-CBN News channel with reference to government agencies.
Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro, deputy head of the Civil Defense Department of the Philippines, said that 49 people out of the total number of deaths on Cebu Island, deaths were also reported in the Western and Eastern Visayas, as well as in the Negros Island area.

The National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction clarified that the typhoon affected about 706,000 people, of whom about 348,000 took refuge in evacuation centers.
