A 16-year-old girl died in a fire in an apartment building in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A 16-year-old teenager was killed in a fire in an apartment building located in the village of Kozhany in the Balakhtinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported on November 5 in the press service of the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"At about 20:00 (on November 4 at 16:00 Moscow time), a report was received about a fire in an apartment on the fifth floor. <...> As a result of the incident, a 16-year-old girl died. <...> [She] was in the back room. She didn't have time to get out," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is also noted that the mother and the younger brother of the deceased, who managed to escape, were also in the apartment at the time of the incident. To eliminate the flames on an area of 50 sq. m. m involved 10 specialists and four units of military equipment.

According to preliminary information, the tragedy occurred due to a short circuit in the TV.

On the same day, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Khanty-Mansiysk district reported the death of a woman and two children in a fire in a two-story private house in Surgut. It was noted that the cause of the incident, which also injured a man, could be a violation of the rules of the device and operation of electrical equipment. 39 specialists and 11 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
