The calculation of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the 74th Separate Guards motorized Rifle brigade of the Center group of forces destroyed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on November 5 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Having received the coordinates of the targets from the unmanned reconnaissance, the artillery crew quickly took up a firing position protected from air attacks. The combat vehicle was promptly prepared for firing, and the crew fired an accurate volley from a 122 mm multiple rocket launcher at a target located at a distance of more than 15 km.
Due to the correction of fire using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it was possible to achieve high accuracy of destruction with minimal consumption of ammunition. After making sure that the targets were destroyed, the crew returned to cover, replenished ammunition and began duty. Clear cooperation with intelligence made it possible to quickly identify and hit targets, providing support to the advancing units.
"There was a goal. <...> They said to work it out quickly. <...> The enemy went on the offensive. We stopped it. We hit the target exactly," said the senior officer of the battery, Lieutenant Vitaly Puzanov.
On November 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that UAV crews of the Aleysky Guards motorized Rifle unit of the Center group of forces had pinpointed enemy dugouts and small groups, and attack drones had destroyed shelters and dispersed militants, preventing personnel from rotating.
