Automaker Stellantis NV is recalling just over 320,000 vehicles in the United States manufactured under the Jeep brand with a hybrid powertrain due to the existing risk of battery fire. This was reported on November 4 by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The batteries were manufactured using the wrong technology and with damaged elements, which can lead to a car fire, the article clarifies. The recall concerns hybrid Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee models released between 2020 and 2025.

Stellantis advised drivers to park their cars on the street.

Earlier, on October 25, Chrysler Stellantis announced the recall of 291,600 vehicles in the United States due to overheating of the radiator fan circuit, which may cause it to fail.
