The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said on November 4 that Russia has been and remains an example of the brotherhood of nations for centuries.

According to Kadyrov, National Unity Day symbolizes the unity and strength of the Russian people, as well as their ability to overcome any difficulties.

"For centuries, Russia has been and remains an example of the brotherhood of nations, where representatives of different nationalities, cultures and religions live in peace and harmony," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

On the same day, Russian leader Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow, and also talked with young activists, representatives of volunteer movements and children of heroes of the special military operation (SVO).

On the same day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the capital and called the centuries-old traditions of national unity the solid foundation of modern Russia. According to him, National Unity Day "affirms the values of patriotism and selfless service to the Motherland."
