More than 310 applications have been received for the Moscow Volunteer Team Competition

More than 310 applications have been received for the "Kind Heart of the Capital" volunteer team competition, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina. The winners will be determined by the participants of the Active Citizen project.

"The volunteer competition is being held in Moscow for the eleventh time. During this time, more than 90 thousand people joined him," Sergunina said.

Seven categories of participants were identified in the competition: university and college students, schoolchildren, representatives of non-profit organizations, government agencies, entrepreneurs and communities of active Muscovites. Each has its own nomination.

Applications began to be accepted in September. The participants posted photos and videos of their teams on social media and told how they were helping the residents of the capital. Then they visited the district volunteer centers "Dobro Mesto", got acquainted with their infrastructure and programs, and completed the tasks of a thematic quest.

In the semi-finals, the applicants will have to develop and present a practical case solution for one of the city's non-profit organizations. The final stage will be held in December in the format of a business game. It will be necessary to propose ideas for volunteer events, which will be evaluated by an expert jury. The winners in each of the seven nominations will be chosen by the participants of the Active Citizen project.
