Russians were congratulated on National Unity Day in other countries
Residents of China, Zambia and Vietnam congratulated Russians on National Unity Day. The footage is published by Izvestia on November 4.
In Zambia, students of the Russian language courses in Lusaka read out a poem "I found out that I have a huge family."
"Dear friends, from warm Zambia, congratulations to all Russians on National Unity Day!" concluded one of the Zambians.
In turn, congratulations were sent from Vietnam by the Russian House, schoolchildren and students of the Hanoi University of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
"On this day, we are all like one big family. We wish you peace, joy and happiness. May Russia be a great and powerful country where people help and love," a Vietnamese schoolboy read out the congratulations in Russian.
In addition, congratulations were sent from other countries: Egypt, Israel, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, Malta, Nicaragua, Palestine, Thailand, Tunisia.
In Turkmenistan, about 500 people took part in a festive event organized by the Russian House in Ashgabat. The program included a craft fair, workshops and the production of handicrafts related to the peoples of the Russian Federation.
On the same day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the capital and called the centuries-old traditions of national unity the solid foundation of modern Russia. According to him, National Unity Day "affirms the values of patriotism and selfless service to the Motherland."
The holiday was also celebrated in Vladivostok and Krasnoyarsk. The presented footage shows that residents of Vladivostok are standing on the square where a charity concert is taking place, where participants performed in national clothes of the Russian Federation, as well as entertainment events, such as classes in children's wrestling, tug of war, drawing on easels and drumming.
