Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed decrees establishing the Day of Indigenous Peoples of the Russian Federation and the Day of Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. The relevant decrees were published on November 4 on the website of the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To establish the Day of the Numerous Indigenous Peoples of the Russian Federation and celebrate it on April 30," one of the decrees says.
