The explosion in the water treatment plant of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant (NSH) occurred due to a terrorist attack by two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on November 4 by the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.

"The Sterlitamak industrial complex has been subjected to a terrorist attack by two UAVs," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is specified that the forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the enterprise security service successfully shot down both drones. The debris fell in the industrial area near the auxiliary workshop. There are no fatalities or injuries, and the company is operating normally.
