On November 4, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin conveyed best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation noted that the impetus for strengthening the partnership between Russia and China was the meetings held in Moscow in May and in Beijing in September. He recalled the end of the jubilee year of Victory over Nazi Germany and militaristic Japan in World War II (WWII).

"For the friendly peoples of Russia and China, this is a sacred holiday that we celebrated together," Mishustin said.

Xi Jinping also congratulated the Russian Prime Minister and members of the Russian government on National Unity Day.

"Today is the National Unity Day of Russia. First of all, I would like to congratulate you and all members of the Russian delegation on the holiday," the Chinese leader said, opening a bilateral meeting at the House of People's Assemblies.

Mishustin also said that Moscow and Beijing should continue to jointly create favorable conditions for attracting mutual investments and creating common projects. He expressed confidence that the joint "strong cultural and humanitarian ties" between the Russian Federation and China had been successful in holding the cross-Cultural Years.
