- The media learned about the launch of about 10 missiles by the DPRK during Hegseth's visit to Camp Boniface.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) launched about 10 artillery shells from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) towards the Yellow Sea an hour before the arrival of Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth. This was reported on November 4 by the Yonhap news agency, citing South Korean military personnel.
"The DPRK fired about 10 artillery shells, <...> which coincided with a joint visit by the heads of the defense departments of South Korea and the United States to the demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas. <... The launch took place less than an hour before US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth arrived at Camp Boniface," the publication says.
It is emphasized that this operation was performed on Monday, November 3, at 16:00 (10:00 Moscow time).
On October 29, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on the DPRK's tests of a strategic cruise missile in the Yellow Sea the day before. It was noted that this is necessary for the development of the state's combat capability.
