Belgian military personnel were allowed to shoot down drones after incidents with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Klein Brogel and Marche-en-Famin bases, but there are no effective weapons in the country for such actions. This was reported by RTL TV channel.

"Having failed to identify the drone operators, the army was ordered to shoot down drones, but everything is more complicated than it seems," RIA Novosti TV channel reports.

It is also reported that Belgian Defense Minister Theo Franken said that "the army does not have all the necessary tools" to destroy drones.
