- The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine has launched an investigation into the deaths of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
A pre-trial investigation into the liquidation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been launched by the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) of Ukraine. This was reported on November 3 in the press service of the department.
"The staff of the GBR has launched a pre-trial investigation into the death and injury of Ukrainian servicemen in the Dnipropetrovsk region. <...> The investigation is checking whether the safety requirements of personnel were met during the air raid and whether the military shelter was properly organized," the Telegram channel says.
It also clarifies that the incident that occurred last Saturday, November 1, at approximately 17:00 (the time coincides with Moscow time) is being considered in accordance with Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Negligence towards military service committed under martial law"). It is emphasized that GUR officers were sent to the scene of the incident, and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office of Dnipro provides procedural guidance over the process.
A representative of the Russian security forces said on the same day that dozens of unnamed soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were buried daily on the territory of the Deevka-2 cemetery, which was established in April 2025, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He clarified that on one day in October, 19 people were buried there.
