The court arrested Metropolitan Arseny of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church for 60 days. This was announced on November 3 by the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

"The judge has decided to take the bishop into custody for 60 days," the Telegram channel says.

It is clarified that the metropolitan is accused of "justifying" Russia's actions.

Earlier, on October 28, it was reported that Metropolitan Arseny was released from the pre-trial detention center (SIZO), but later he was immediately taken to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on new suspicion. The bishop's state of health was one of the key factors influencing the court's decision. However, at about 12 o'clock, immediately after leaving the pre-trial detention center, Metropolitan Arseny was detained by SBU officers.
