Romania bought 18 F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands for €1, the contract was signed in Bucharest. This was announced on November 3 by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

"These aircraft, which are part of the Pilot Training Center for F-16 flights in Fetesti, will become the property of the Romanian state at a price of € 1," RIA Novosti quoted the ministry as saying.
