The media learned about the deprivation of Mazda's right to buy out its production assets in the Russian Federation

The Japanese car company Mazda has not implemented an option to buy back its Russian production assets. According to the press service of the Sollers Group, the concern did not send any relevant requests, and the agreement expired in October 2025. This was reported on November 3 by the Reuters news agency.

"The Japanese company Mazda Motor has lost the right to buy out its 50% stake in a joint venture for the production of cars in Russia, without using the option to buy out," the material says.

Sollers also clarified that the Vladivostok plant was successfully restarted in 2023. These facilities are currently producing intercity and tourist buses under the Sollers brand, which, according to the company, ensures stable loading and development of the local automotive industry.
