The volunteers of the Popular Front helped organize the delivery of national dishes to the front line, prepared by residents of different regions of Russia specifically for the soldiers of the special military operation (SVO). All food is packaged in special retort bags that preserve the nutritional qualities and freshness of the dishes for a long time.

Retort packages were created within the framework of a specially developed technology by the Conservatory Z volunteer association. This method of food preservation allows you to pack a dish in a daily ration in a small and shockproof bag that fits in your pocket. The strength of retort bags allows you to deliver food even to the most inaccessible points, where transport does not reach and it is dangerous for supply groups to approach. Food is dropped to the fighters on a mission directly from the copters, packages are also delivered by ground-based tracked platforms.

In the village of Kugult, Stavropol Territory, the national Chuvash dish kagai-shurbi is prepared for the fighters who are in the SVO zone. It consists of millet, liver, meat, vegetables and various spices, which are sent together to the autoclave.

An iconic dish of Oriental cuisine, pilaf, was also prepared and packaged for the fighters in the SVO zone. Yelena Evdokimova, a resident of the Sverdlovsk region, clarified that the secret ingredient of her pilaf is love and warmth of hands. Russian solyanka is prepared for fighters in the Moscow region, borscht is prepared in the Kaluga region.

"We really hope that when the fighters receive these packages, they will understand that while they are holding the front, advancing and completing tasks, they have a strong rear behind them. I would even say it's made of iron," said Vladislav Sevostyanov, head of the All—Russian volunteer association Conservatory Z, who prepared a dish of Dagestani cuisine for the fighters.

Thus, at the forefront, everyone can taste the national dishes of Russia and feel the warmth of home cooking.

In July, it was reported that Marina, a farmer living in the Belgorod region, supplies her products — craft cheeses — as humanitarian aid to the special military operation zone and to the border territories. Marina noted that before sending the products to the frontline area, the cheese is packed in a vacuum. She stressed that hard cheeses are preferred for transportation to the special operation zone, as their shelf life is longer than that of other types.
