Zakharova predicted the "collapse" of Italy due to senseless spending on Ukraine

On November 3, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the collapse of the tower at the Imperial Forums in central Rome, pointing to the senseless waste of the Italian government's money.

"As long as the Italian government spends its taxpayers' money senselessly, Italy will collapse everything from the economy to the towers," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

The diplomat also recalled that the amount of assistance to Ukraine from Italy amounted to €2.5 billion, of which €1 billion is the support of Ukrainian refugees, €310 million is aimed at helping the state budget of Ukraine, and another €93 million went to humanitarian activities.

Prior to that, on October 24, Bloomberg reported that Italy was preparing the 12th military aid package for Ukraine, which would focus on strengthening air defense systems. According to sources, the dispatch of military aid may take place before the end of 2025 and will include several SAMP/T air defense systems and ammunition for them and previously supplied installations.
