Two powerful Class M flares occurred on the Sun in an hour.
Scientists have recorded two powerful M-class solar flares in an hour. The relevant information was published on November 3 on the official website of the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IPG).
"At 13:11 Moscow time, an M5.0 (N22E84) flash lasting 59 minutes was registered in the X—ray range," the statement said.
In addition, another flash occurred at 12:25 Moscow time and lasted 61 minutes.
After a two-week break in the Sun, strong flashes of the M1.0 level were again recorded on November 2. It was clarified that this happened for 11 minutes, from 03:26 to 03:37 Moscow time.
Prior to that, on November 1, scientists demonstrated a new active region 4246 on the Sun, which completely faced the Earth. Following her is another large area that could become the new "queen of the ball."
