Gang members who have been stealing clothes from the Versace warehouse for five years have been uncovered in Italy, La Stampa newspaper reported on November 3.

The group consisted of eight people who committed thefts from 2021 to 2025. Three of them were employees of a logistics company that serviced a clothing warehouse, who had access to the loading area and carried out items under the guise of shipments.

The investigation began by accident, after an employee of the brand noticed a Versace hoodie on the Vinted platform. Before that, the item had disappeared from a warehouse in Novara. Branded clothing was sold with all the necessary tags, but at a price almost twice as low as the store price.

It turned out that the gang leader's income was about €27,000 per year (2.5 million rubles). The man led a luxurious lifestyle — he posted photos on social networks in a Versace jacket for € 8 thousand and from vacations at resorts. The police found dozens of stolen items in his grandmother's garage, as well as a Rolex watch and envelopes with cash. The participants are charged with organized theft and money laundering. The court concluded that the head of the criminals should serve a prison sentence.

In Granada, Spain, on October 31, jewelry was stolen from the image of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary in the church of Santa Cruz la Real. According to the Fraternity of the Rosary of Granada, the stolen items were private donations from believers. The cameras recorded two people with uncovered faces who entered the temple. The alleged criminals approached the chapel unhindered and stole the jewelry.
