Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner has risen to the top of the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
According to Sport-Express, Sinner became the winner of the Masters tournament in Paris. He displaced Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who was eliminated in the second round of the competition. The third place in the ranking is still occupied by the German tennis player Alexander Zverev.
Russian athlete Daniil Medvedev has risen by one position and now occupies 12th place. Andrey Rublev improved his result and rose to 16th place, while Karen Khachanov dropped four positions to 18th place.
Earlier, on October 31, it was reported that Medvedev failed to reach the semifinals of the ATP Masters tournament in Paris. It was clarified that the athlete lost to tennis player from Germany Alexander Zverev. The meeting lasted more than two hours and ended with a score 2:6, 6:3, 7:6 (7:5) in favor of Zverev.
