Izvestia journalist Maria Frolova has died.

Izvestia journalist Maria Frolova died on November 2, 2025 after an illness. She was 33 years old. Maria's death was announced by her husband Alexei Steinert.

Maria was born on July 17, 1992 in Yaroslavl, graduated from the Faculty of Social and Cultural Activities of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, and later received a law degree. She has worked in a number of regional and federal media outlets.

Frolova joined the editorial board of Izvestia in 2021 as an established author. She focused on important social topics: medicine, education, scientific developments. She was always ready to take on the most difficult editorial tasks, and helped her colleagues.
