US President Donald Trump admitted that both the United States and China behaved irrationally in the settlement of trade relations, but stressed the desire for cooperation. The Republican stated this in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, November 2.

"We both acted... maybe a little irrationally," Trump stressed.

The American leader pointed, among other things, to the trade duties imposed by the United States. He stressed that allied relations could be more beneficial for both sides.

"Look, it's a very competitive world, especially when it comes to China and the United States. And we are constantly watching them, and they are constantly watching us. At the same time, I think we get along great, and I think we can become bigger, better, and stronger by working with them," the US president noted.
