The airport of the German city of Bremen has temporarily suspended operations due to the appearance of an unmanned aerial vehicle in the flight area. According to police, the drone was spotted around 19:30 local time (21:30 Moscow time), the November 2 edition of BR24 reports.

"Take-off and landing operations were stopped for about an hour," the law enforcement agencies reported.

It is currently unknown who was operating the drone and for what purpose it was located in the airport area. According to the NDR TV channel, one of the flights arriving from London was diverted to Hamburg, and the plane from Bremen to the British capital could not take off as scheduled. The exact consequences of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier it was reported that Munich Airport temporarily suspended operations on October 18 due to reports of drones. The German Federal Police clarified that "suspicious sightings" were recorded around 22:00 and 23:00, each for 30 minutes. As a result, three flights were redirected and one flight was canceled, but no drones or suspicious persons were found on the territory.
