President of Argentina appointed Diego Santilli as Minister of the Interior
Argentine President Javier Miley has announced that Deputy Diego Santilli will become the country's new interior minister. This became known on November 2.
He stressed that Santilli would work with regional authorities and legislators.
"It is Diego who will negotiate with the governors and legislators in order to achieve the consensus in Congress necessary for the reforms that await us in the future," the head of state wrote on the social network X.
Earlier, on October 27, it was reported that Argentina's ruling Freedom Is Coming party won the parliamentary elections with more than 40% of the vote. It is noted that voter turnout has become a record low by historical standards: almost 68% of people did not come to vote.
