Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) located in the village of Dimitrov, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), are in a critical situation. This was announced on November 2 by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin.

"In the Dimitrov area <...>, the situation for the enemy is no longer approaching critical, but critical," he said, in a video message posted on Pushilin's Telegram channel.

Pushilin also pointed to the successful advance of Russian units in the area of Seversk and Zvanovka.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian military had taken control of 26 buildings in Dimitrov over the course of a day. According to the ministry, during the day, the Russian Armed Forces eliminated up to 140 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three armored combat vehicles and two pickups in this area. Two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also captured.

On November 1, the Russian military managed to expand its control zone in the northern, eastern and southeastern parts of Dimitrov. As a result, the losses of Ukrainian militants amounted to over 405 people. In addition, Russian military personnel also eliminated two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and three field artillery guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
