The Ukrainian special services tried to evacuate a group of foreign mercenaries from the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk. This was announced on November 2 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"Aboard the GUR (Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. — Ed.) tried to evacuate foreigners from the area of Krasnoarmeysk, whose importance can only be guessed if they were sent on board," TASS quoted him as saying.
