Russian schoolchildren who won the Kanysh Satpayev International Chemistry Olympiad in Kazakhstan returned to Moscow. The footage of the return on November 2 is published by Izvestia.
According to one of the winners, Igor Ustinov, the tasks at the Olympiad have changed dramatically this year. He noted that the tasks were complicated because they decided to make the Olympiad International this year.
"We had to work hard to earn these medals," Ustinov said.
Another winner, Pyotr Voronchenok, added that the structure of the tasks was different from the usual ones, and the inorganic part turned out to be simpler than at the All-Russian Olympiad. He also expressed his joy at the victory, as this is his first International Olympiad.
The third winner, Mikhail Panin, shared his impressions about chemistry. According to him, she impresses him with her beauty and versatility, so he decided to connect his life with this science.
Russian schoolchildren won three gold medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad on November 1. The national team was led by Vasily Krasnobrov, a methodologist at the Center for Pedagogical Excellence. 25 teams from Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan took part in the Olympiad.
