In the Kemerovo region, more than 20 settlements were left without electricity, where bad weather conditions were recorded the day before. This was announced on November 2 by the governor of the region Ilya Seredyuk.
"Four roof damages on buildings of various types and 13 tree falls were recorded in the region. 54 settlements were disconnected from electricity supply due to strong winds. There are still 21 settlements without electricity," Seredyuk wrote on his Telegram channel.
In the village of Meltwater, grass was burning on an area of 10 thousand square meters. A fire also occurred in the fields of the Guriev district due to damage to a power transmission pole. In Belovo, dry grass burned on an area of 800 square meters. All fires were eliminated.
"The roof of school No. 12 partially collapsed. There are no casualties. Restoration work is underway," the governor wrote, noting that the incident occurred in Anzhero-Sudzhensk.
Earlier in the day, a large-scale power outage occurred in Yuzhno-Kurilsk due to the effects of a cyclone and strong winds. To eliminate the consequences, crews from the mobile gas turbine power plant (GTPP) were involved, which carried out restoration work in an enhanced mode.
