The Chinese space rocket Shenzhou-21 and its crew launched in northwest China from the Jiuquan cosmodrome. This was reported on November 1 by CNN.

There are three astronauts on the Chinese Shenzhou-21 spacecraft who are going into space for six months. They will replace the crew of Shenzhou-20, who lived and worked aboard the Tiangong station ("Heavenly Palace") for more than six months.

"The Shenzhou-21 crew was also joined by four black mice, the first small mammals to be transported to the Chinese space station. The mice will be used in breeding experiments in low—Earth orbit," the publication says.

It has become natural for the Shenzhou program to launch twice a year.

The channel noted that the rapid progress has caused alarm in Washington, which is currently rushing to send an American astronaut to the moon before China does so.

Earlier, on October 30, it was reported that China would launch the Shenzhou-21 manned spacecraft with three taikonauts (Chinese cosmonauts – Ed.) to the orbital station. It was noted that the three crew members were unknown at the time, although their choice was finalized in February.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
