The OP recalled the double pay on National Unity Day
Work on National Unity Day must be paid at least twice the amount. This was recalled on November 2 by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws.
According to Masharov, the provisions of Article 153 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation oblige employers to pay increased remuneration for work on non-working holidays, including November 4.
"In accordance with Article 153 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, work on a non—working holiday is paid at least twice the amount," he said in a comment to TASS.
He explained that piecework workers are paid double according to rates, and workers with hourly or daily pay are paid at least double the rate. Employees on a salary receive at least a single rate above the salary if the work is performed within the monthly norm, and a double rate if over it.
Masharov stressed that the double payment rule applies to everyone without exception. According to him, the specific amounts of payments can be specified in collective agreements and local regulations of organizations.
