Mironov called for an increase in the number of budget places in universities in 2026

The leader of the Fair Russia party and the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov, called on the Ministry of Education and Science to increase the number of budget places in Russian universities for the admission of applicants in 2026. This became known on November 2.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation reported that in the 2026-2027 academic year, 620.5 thousand budget places will be allocated to universities, keeping the figure at the level of last year.

"The Fair Russia Party is calling on the Ministry of Education and Science to increase funding with the gradual abolition of paid education," Mironov told RIA Novosti.
