The fire season has ended in the forests of the Sakhalin region. The regional forestry and hunting agency reports this in its Telegram channel.

"The fire season in the territory of the Sakhalin Region forest fund is considered closed from November 1, 2025," the message says.

According to SakhalinMedia news agency, the decision was made due to the steady rainy weather, as well as a decrease in the average daily air temperature. Together, this reduces the fire danger in forests.

The news agency writes that this year's fire season started on April 15. Drones, including those equipped with thermal imagers, helped to monitor the situation and fix the temperature points.

On October 6, it was reported that the fire season, which began on March 24, had ended throughout the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The decision was made due to lower temperatures and heavy rainfall.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
