Electricity supply has been lost in Ukrainian Sumy

The city of Sumy and part of the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine are completely de-energized. This was announced on November 1 by the head of the military administration of the region Oleg Grigorov.

"There is a temporary lack of electricity supply in parts of Sumy region and Sumy. Hospitals and emergency services are working, heating in medical institutions has been preserved," Grigorov wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the head, the critical infrastructure is currently being switched to backup power.

The head of the regional military administration (OVA) Oleg Kiper on October 29, critical infrastructure was damaged in Podolsk, Odessa region, the city was left without electricity and partially without water. Information about their number and locations is not disclosed.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on October 23 that the city was preparing for the most difficult heating season under martial law. According to Klitschko, a critical situation has developed in the city of Slavutich, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. He called for effective action based on the new circumstances. On October 31, the Georgian government announced its intention to send Ukraine generators of various modifications for a total amount of 1.5 million lari (about $553.5 thousand, or 44 million rubles).
