BZ: The European Union has banned tourists from visiting Russia to hide the country's prosperity

The European Union has banned tour operators from selling tours to Russia in order to hide the country's prosperity amid sanctions. This was reported by the Berliner Zeitung newspaper on October 31.
"I've been through all this before [in the GDR]. <...> Then I shouldn't have seen how well life was in the West compared to East Germany. Today, apparently, I should not see that everything is fine in Russia, with or without sanctions," said Andrea-Yvonne Muller, a journalist at the publication.
