The Central Bank of Russia called the signs of a deepfake
Deepfake can be determined by monotonous speech and sound defects. This was announced on November 1 by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
"Unnatural, robotic, monotonous speech without emotion. It can stop abruptly, the synchronization between speech and lip movement is disrupted," the Central Bank said.
Other signs may also indicate deepfake, such as unnatural facial expressions, sound defects, or extraneous noises.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation warned that if a friend sent a voice or video message asking for money, then you should be on your guard.
"Be sure to contact the person and double-check the information. If you don't have the opportunity to call, ask the other person a personal question that only a real loved one knows the answer to," the publication added.
Earlier in the day, Roskachestvo analysts advised switching the communication channel when communicating with phone scammers: if they are calling from a "bank", you should hang up and call back to the official number from the website, if "relatives" — call them back directly.
