OpenAI has banned the use of its ChatGPT neural network for legal and medical consultations in accordance with the updated service usage policy. A statement on the updated chatbot usage policy is posted on the company's website.

"Everyone has the right to safety and protection. Therefore, you cannot use our services to <...> provide specialized consultations that require a license, such as legal or medical consultations, without the appropriate involvement of a licensed specialist," the statement says.

Consultations in the fields of education, housing, insurance, migration and public services are subject to restrictions. The company also banned the use of services for threats, harassment, propaganda of suicide and eating disorders.

In addition, the list of prohibited actions includes the creation of content with sexual violence, propaganda of terrorism, and gambling. In addition, it is prohibited to use images of people without consent.

"We require users to make proper use of our services, and violation or non—compliance with our rules and security measures may result in loss of access to our systems or other penalties," OpenAI warns.

On September 29, it was reported that OpenAI was launching parental controls for the web version and the ChatGPT mobile application as a result of a lawsuit from the parents of Adam Rain, a 16-year-old teenager who died in California and committed suicide. He did this after an artificial intelligence (AI) allegedly taught him ways to harm himself. According to Reuters, the innovations will allow parents and teenagers to choose "more reliable protection" by linking their accounts.

NBC News reported on August 27 that Rain's parents in the United States blamed his son's death on ChatGPT from Open AI. According to the publication, the boy's family believes that the developer of this chatbot has not taken sufficient security measures, in particular for people under the age of majority.
