The grandmother was able to bring back three grandchildren from the Philippines, who were left without parental care. This was announced on November 1 by Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights.

"Their grandmother was appointed the children's guardian. They helped the woman to buy tickets to fly out for her grandchildren. At all stages, including during difficult flights with long transfers, my staff stayed in touch with her and coordinated the process of the children's return to Russia," she wrote on her Facebook page.
