According to sources close to the traffic police of the region, the cameras detect low-beam or daylight lights that are not turned on. The fine for such a violation is 500 rubles.
In the department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kurgan, the publication confirmed the use of video cameras that check drivers for their car lights. Ten such complexes operate in the regional capital, and about three dozen more operate on regional roads.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in Russia they will begin to check CTP using traffic cameras in the coming months. A pilot project for a number of regions may be launched by the end of 2025.
