The head of the construction company "Siemi" Vitaly Singovsky was sentenced to four years in a penal colony for embezzlement of funds during the construction of fortifications in the Kursk region. This was announced on November 1 by the press service of the courts of the Kursk region.

"Singovsky was sentenced to four years in prison to serve his sentence in a general—regime penal colony with a fine of 500 thousand rubles," the Telegram channel said.

The court found the head of the construction company guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement or embezzlement on an especially large scale"). The civil claim of the Kursk Region Development Corporation has been fully satisfied — 152.8 million rubles have been recovered from the convict. The verdict has not entered into legal force.

On October 25, it was reported that as part of the investigation into the construction of defensive structures in the Kursk region, Vitaly Singovsky testified that former deputy ex-governor of the region Alexei Dedov had received a bribe of 6 million rubles. According to the prosecutor, these funds were transferred to Dedov for providing commercial organizations with access to state and municipal contracts in the region.
