On November 1, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized the militant policy of his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk on the issue of Ukraine.

"His (Tusk's) military policy is failing: Ukraine is losing European money, and the Poles are tired of the "conflict," Orban wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician noted that Tusk had made Warsaw a vassal of Brussels, and also pointed out a number of Poland's internal problems, including the instability of the current government and the defeat of his party in the presidential elections in 2025. In addition, Orban noted that by attacking Budapest's peaceful position, the Polish prime minister is trying to distract attention from the problems in the country.

"Hungary is following a different path — the path of peace. The Hungarian people refuse to become vassals of Brussels. It's time for Mr. Tusk to come to terms with this and go about his business," concluded the Hungarian prime minister.

Earlier, on October 26, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto criticized Tusk for his desire to support the Hungarian opposition. The diplomat noted that a similar situation had already occurred in 2022, when Tusk came to Hungary to speak at an opposition rally, after which the ruling FIDESZ—Hungarian Civil Union party won the largest victory in the country's history.

On September 29, Tusk announced the ongoing conflict of a "new type" with Russia and his intention to convince the public of the need to continue it. He noted that the conflict situation had already begun a long time ago, although the West allegedly did not want such a scenario.

The next day, Orban replied that Hungary and the EU were not involved in the conflict with Russia. According to him, the Polish prime minister is playing a "dangerous game", endangering the lives and safety of millions of European residents.
