- The cyber expert talked about ticket bots disguising themselves as humans
Bots that massively purchase tickets in the interests of resellers have learned how to effectively disguise themselves as humans, Igor Bederov, founder of the Russian Internet Search company, told Izvestia.
"Anti-detection browsers (for example, Multilogin) mask the digital fingerprint of each bot account, making it indistinguishable from the real user. In addition, bots mimic human cursor and keyboard handwriting, use AI tools to solve captchas, and work through distributed botnets, which makes their detection using simple methods (such as IP or User-Agent analysis) almost impossible," says the source.
Also, according to him, a high level of disguise makes such attacks resistant to traditional security measures such as CAPTCHA (automatic testing that determines whether a person has visited a website or a bot), basic rate limiting or IP address blocking.
