The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced a three-day inspection of drivers.
The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct an enhanced raid on the roads of the capital to check drivers for intoxication. The press service of the department announced this in its Telegram channel on November 1. The preventive event will take place on November 2-4.
Since the beginning of this week, traffic police have identified and stopped more than 100 cases of drunk driving. More than 190 drivers refused to undergo a medical examination, and 17 drivers re-got behind the wheel drunk, being deprived of their rights, and now they face criminal liability.
"The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate appeals to all road users not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunk driving, to promptly inform the police about drivers who behave inappropriately on the road and pose a danger to themselves and others. Employees are ready to take all prompt measures to respond to reports of drunk driving," the department noted.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that following the results of the first nine months of 2025, a decrease in road traffic accidents was recorded in Russia. The number of road accidents decreased by 2.4% (94.9 thousand cases), the number of dead — by 3.4% (10.1 thousand people), injured — by 3% (117.7 thousand people).
