The innovative museums of the BRICS countries have joined an international association, and a corresponding memorandum was signed at the Open Atom forum in Moscow. This is stated in the release, which appeared at the disposal of Izvestia.

The Alliance of BRICS Science and Technology Museums includes representatives of the Russian Innovation and Technology Museum ATOM, the Institute of Management and Development of Museums in Brazil (IDG), the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, the Catavento Interactive Science Museum in Sao Paulo, science cities of India, the IZICO group of museums in South Africa and the Arte Museum in Dubai. Organizations from China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are planning to join the association.

The purpose of the association is to establish and strengthen cultural, educational, scientific and technological ties between the BRICS member states, build friendly relations between peoples based on universal human values, develop interest in national culture and sciences, and attract people from different countries to study innovations without breaking away from the cultures of their peoples.

"Science and technology are tools of public diplomacy that create a new model of cooperation between people from different countries," explained Elena Mironenko, Director General of the ATOM Museum.

In the near future, the Alliance will hold cross-training sessions to promote culture, science and technology. It is about the demonstration and consolidation of museum values, the exchange of experience and the development of professional ties, as well as the promotion of technological achievements. In addition, the association will organize joint scientific competitions, museum festivals, awards and exhibitions.
